Description

Our OISC level 1 accreditation training course is designed as an entry level course on immigration advice (i.e. within the Immigration Rules). In this course we aim to cover the syllabus at OISC level 1. The aim of this course is to provide delegates with the sufficient knowledge, in preparation for the level 1 OISC exams with focusing on the OISC’s core requirements. Delegates will be provided with the latest edition of the OISC level 1 HJT Immigration manual as well as practical guidance with accompanying self-study material to be used after the course during revision for individuals’ OISC exams. HJT Training are also responsible for supplying the OISC assessment papers across all 3 levels, the marking and moderation process, and the communication of exam results with examinees. We are working hard with the OISC to ensure that together we raise the standard of legal representation in the OISC sector and hope that the accreditation scheme will help us to achieve this whilst ensuring fairness, consistency and accessibility for all.

Delivered online over ZOOM over 4 days at 09:30am – 12:30pm each day on Monday 20th January 2025, Tuesday 21st January 2025, Wednesday 22nd January 2025 and Thursday 23rd January 2025.  Joining instructions will be emailed to you once your booking has been made.

HJT Training has introduced a new structure (due to the new rules) to Immigration Law wishing to accredit at entry level or beginning a career in Immigration law. The aim of this course is to give delegates sufficient knowledge for Level 1 assessments with the OISC focusing on the OISC’s core requirements.

  • The Rules, common requirements (para 6 and Part 1), Operational Guidance
  • General grounds of refusal and suitability
  • Visitors
  • Ancestors, and switching categories
  • Long residence
  • Nationality by birth, registration and naturalisation
  • EEA law and Appendix EU/ Appendix EU (Family Permit)
  • Family applications
  • Work, study and business
  • Practical Exercises throughout

Delegates will be provided with a digital copy the latest edition of the OISC Level 1 Material as well as a digital copy of the Resource Booklet. 

Please note, the OISC Level 1 HJT Immigration Material is NOT printable due to copyright.
