15th Anniversary

Alongside our conference this year, HJT will be celebrating it’s 15th Anniversary, and we’d like to invite all attendees to join us for a drinks reception following the conference.

HJT has been training people in government, business, NGOs and local authorities since 2003, when it was first set up by barristers David Jones and Mark Symes. We offer specialist training around human rights and business issues, as well as specific areas of law, including immigration and employment law.

At the outset, we have aimed to make legal expertise accessible to those who need it and to ensure that people’s individual rights and interests are protected. Accessibility is still core to our values – to give people an understanding of how best to apply key human rights-related principles in their daily work – whether it is related to corporate responsibility, immigration concerns, or employment law.

Judicial Review Conference 2018

HJT Training’s acclaimed annual judicial review conference gives you the chance to keep up to date and hear from leading practitioners on the implications of the latest developments in judicial review in the immigration field.

This year, our Judicial Review Conference will be chaired by Amanda Weston QC and will be presented by leading practitioners in the Immigration and Asylum field including David Jones (HJT Director, founder of HJT Research which provides online country information on human rights conditions in over 80 countries), Mark Symes (HJT Director, co-author of Immigration Appeals and Remedies Handbook of which the Upper Tribunal President says “a compulsory addition to the library of every immigration judge and practitioner”), Sandra Akinbolu (tenant at Lamb Building, EU Expert and HJT’s highest rated trainer), Immigration Expert Julian Bild (ATLEU), Declan O’Callaghan (Tribunal Judge) and Joanna Sidhu, (CrowdJustice)

2018 has seen many high profile changes to the world of Immigration and we aim to cover everything you need to know as an Immigration practitioner.
