Revisions and updates to the Rules started to roll out this week following the Statement of Changes 2022. More than a dozen Appendices have been updated this week touching almost every spectrum of UK immigration, from work and business visas, to family, asylum, and deportation. We have itemised each one of these in a comprehensive list for your reference.
The Governments questionable policies and practices in relation to asylum seekers and the provision of accommodation facilities have now been raised by the British Medical Journal (BJM.) BJM has published an article, that the Government needs to prioritise health and human rights as a part of their policies.
UK’s dire need of foreign workers to fill shortage occupations has been flagged by Lord Wolfson (owner, NEXT) who has urged that the Government needs to facilitate more overseas workers to join UK labour forces.

The regular schedule of return flights is an important strand of the governments work to keep the public safe and tackle illegal migration, by speeding up the return of foreign criminals and illegal migrants with no right to be in the UK. Brexit-backing Next boss says UK needs more overseas workers – BBC News
The boss of retailer Next is urging the government to let more foreign workers into the UK to ease labour shortages. Lord Wolfson, who was a prominent advocate of Brexit, said the UK’s current immigration policy was crippling economic growth. He said firms should pay a tax to employ foreign workers, to encourage them to recruit from the UK first. To read the full article, click here

UK’s Rwanda deportation plan and human rights record attacked at UN inquiry- The Independent
The UK’s plans to deport asylum seekers to Rwanda and tear up the Human Rights Act have been fiercely criticised at a special United Nations meeting. Rishi Sunak’s government suffered the embarrassment of countries ranging from the United States and Germany to Angola questioning its human rights record, at the gathering in Geneva. Home Office won’t say how many migrants arrive illegally – BBC News
Since 28 June 2022, it has been a specific crime to knowingly arrive in the United Kingdom without proper permission. The penalty is up to four years in jail. If we can find out how many have been arrested, charged or convicted of this offence, we can measure the number of people who are definitely suspected of, or have committed, a crime.
